《A Series of Korean Successive Literary Works(韓國歷代文集叢書)》 is the data compiled into 3,000 volumes about a literary collection of more than 3,500 major figures from Korean ancient times(Silla) to modern times(the Japanese ruling era). Various kinds of data are used in contacting Korean history and literature, but the absolute resource of the data is in a series of literary works. Especially 《 A Series of Korean Successive Literary Works》 includes about 80% of the materials which are not reported thus far, and it is unrivaled in its quantity and value. It is the most fundamental data in the research of Korean history and literature. 《A Series of Korean Successive Literary Works》 is not only the basic data for the research of Korean studies but also a treasury of the contents Korean culture to lead Korean wave in future. The inexhaustible contents of a diversity of historic eventsㆍliteratureㆍartㆍdiplomacyㆍgeneral knowledge etc. put in each literary collection are the ones to present a storytelling of Korean culture and lead Korean wave. In addition, it provides the source of the culture of Korean wave more easily to the culture-interested people as well as the researchers of Korean studies in the world, and it has its great significance in that it has prepared an important foundation for the development of Korean studies.

The creating of database of "Korean Anthology in History" has been KYUNG‐IN PUBLISHING CO’s long‐cherished ambition. Although we compiled together 3,000 volumes from about 3,500 authors and published them as the "Korean Anthology in History", there were difficulties in using the publication due to limitations of the organization and introduction of the materials. In order to build a database, "Korean Anthology in History", Media Korean Studies Co. that established in 2011 has decided to collaborate with numerous world distinguished universities doing research in Korean studies.
The first product of this collaborative effort we present today is a complete list of titles of the collection and their respective table of contents. City University of Hong Kong Library was responsible for the work on Chinese titles of the collection and their respective table of contents; Jeju National University of Korea was responsible for the Korean translation work; and finally, the C.V.Starr East Asian Library at University of California, Berkeley was responsible for the Romanization part of the project.
Media Korean Studies Co. put together these three projects and created the Korean Studies Database. Not only does this Database contain the titles of the collection and their respective table of contents, but its availability as an e‐book will provide the users with easy access to the table of contents and its original materials.
The Korean Studies Database will greatly contribute to the world’s Korean studies research as a valuable foundational material.
