금장암사자탑은 강원도 금강군 내강리 금장골 금장암터에 있는 고려시대 초기의 이형 탑이다. 사자탑이라는 명칭은 기단부에 사자를 배치한 특수한 형식으로 특이한 형태에서 붙여진 이름이다. 기단부에 네 마리의 사자를 앉히고 그 위에 탑신부를 형성하였으며 정상에 상륜부를 장식한 석탑으로 전체 높이가 3.87m 가량이다.
