The purpose of this book understands the structure of community analyzing the correlation among nation and official families in countryside and peasantry. The author thought local leaders, Yuhyangp’umgwan(留鄕品官) who have central role of countryside in early Chosŏn(朝鮮) period as a target for this study. The author tries to describe the structure of community in early Chosŏn period studying Yuhyangp’umgwan as local officials who were leading local communities.
