This book explores the appearance process of King in Kojosŏn(古朝鮮) and three former kingdoms(三韓), the beginning countries in Korea. The author examines the type of ancient states enlarging to decentralized states and city states rather existing centralized states accepting the understanding of new paradigm since 1980s. Therefore, this reviews case studies of 'complex political system', associated or federated structure, or 'local political system', influenced power into specific area which had been identified as prior to ancient centralized state from existing study with respect to the type of ancient decentralized or city states.
