This book described history through analyzing explanatory notes(註釋書) of Taehak(大學) in early and middle Chosŏn(朝鮮) period. It also investigates history of Confucian thought and meaning based on. The author focused on Confucian scholars in middle Chosŏn(朝鮮) period and tried to reveal characteristics and historical meaning of this study.
